Sometimes a few words can remain with you. So it is with this sentiment spoken by a Leningrad survivor: “Is that all? All that’s left of such horror? A few dozen words?” She was referring to that time when a bloody, long battle was fought in the city of Stalingrad when the Russians refused to let the German army take it over in World War II.
